Living With Long-term Illness: Essays on Hope, Healing & Mental Health

By Akanksha Sharma

My ebook, ‘Living with Long-term Illness: Essays on Hope, Healing & Mental Health’ is live on Amazon. I revised it and re-published it just yesterday, as I had many new insights since the first edition of the book was published.

Motivation Behind Writing this Book

Not only does illness affect our physical health, it also leaves a deep impact on our mental health. The physical consequences of chronic illnesses are easier to observe than the mental impact. My struggles and learnings have motivated me to write this book. Through this book, I want to provide the reader with comfort and different perspectives on living their life while dealing with prolonged ill health.

Book Cover: ‘Living with Long-term Illness’ by Akanksha Sharma

What Unique Perspectives will a Reader Get from this Book?

Some of the things I’ll be talking about are:

  • Finding and making meaning in life
  • The four important components of creating a balanced identity
  • Emotions & thoughts about the future
  • Living life authentically
  • Communicating considerately with individuals who are suffering from longterm illness (A bonus chapter for family, friends & loved ones)

This book is intended to provide you with a measure of healing and mental freedom. You are not alone in your journey.
