Business success is determined more by attitude than aptitude

Greetings, dear friends. I am writing this late night blog simply because a thought struck me that was simply too valuable to keep to myself. Often people make the mistake of thinking, especially in this technology-rich world, that aptitude is the most important thing when it comes to launching a successful business. The truth of the matter is that aptitude, is an over-rated ingredient in the recipe book of business success.
In business, the right attitude is the golden egg that will make sure your ship comes in. Even if you don’t have a high aptitude in some skill/service/technical area of your business, a good attitude can easily help you overcome all these barriers. How? You may ask. Well, attitude includes people skills, sales skills and communication skills.
If you have the right mixture of these, you can get other people to teach you what you don’t know, you can hire more knowledgeable people to do certain tasks for you that will help your business grow (or if you have the gift of the gab, get them to barter their skills for yours ), you can be a hub; linking problems to solutions, you can connect people to one another, you can be dependable and build your brand in that direction.
People will remember you. They always remember someone who makes things easier for them. So, don’t be disheartened if you’re not a scientist or a tech genius. If you have the right attitude, you can move mountains. You can attract people into your life you will help you along your journey. Create value for them, learn how to negotiate with them to create win-win situations. Trust me, it will pay  off in a big way.
